MacOS Big Sur pre-release for developers is now available for Apple Developer Program members at developer.apple.com, and a public beta will be available to Mac users later in July at beta.apple.com. The official version of macOS Big Sur will appear this fall as a free software update for Macs introduced in mid-2013 and later.
It is preliminary and not offered for mass installation.

In general, the new macOS has become not only simpler and more minimalistic, but now it is similar to iOS 14 (actually more on iPadOS 14). Apple designers redrawn all standard applications in the new operating system.
